Serving Builders and Contractors in Lake County

Lake County work ranges from kitchen and bath remodels in older Highwood and Highland Park homes to larger single-family remodels and new construction across the North Shore. How to plan the cabinet side:

• Remodels in older homes: measure for out-of-level floors and out-of-square walls; plan fillers and scribe.
• Large single-family kitchens: standardize box sizes, add tall pantries and drawer bases, and use a contrasting island.
• New construction: time delivery to the cabinet install date, after flooring and paint prep, and before countertop templating.
• Multi-unit projects: one door style and a standard cabinet list across units; order by phase.
• Kitchen plus baths: order vanities with the kitchen for matching finishes.

Permits are handled by each municipality; check with the city or village building department for plumbing, electrical or layout changes.
